Conveyor designs that use external motors must account for the high starting torque of the side-flanged motor to avoid twisting or unwanted vibration.

Here, the starting and braking torques are fully aligned with the force axis of the conveyor, making the motor — which achieves speeds of up to 2.5 m/s — an integral and 100% vibration-free part of the conveyor without additional design effort.
