Implementing a hygienic standard in your technical specifications
Guidelines and statements of intent will not guarantee the use of certified hygienic components on new production equipment.
Clear and binding standards have to be implemented in the brand owner's specifications to machine builders, assuring unity through the use of hygienic standards.
Both end-user engineers and OEMs can (mis)interpret the definitions of hygienic components.
The hygienic standard needs to be in writing and preferably visualized so that:
- The OEM can follow these standards when building the machine/conveyor
- The end-user engineers can use them for control
