UKSafer Cleaning Chemicals in CNC Production
In 2026, NGI replaced the cleaning chemical Curatech TA 258 with DST/DEGREEZ 9 in our CNC processes. The change removes 650 liters of corrosive chemicals annually and results in a 100% elimination of strongly corrosive and acutely toxic substances in this part of our production.
The purpose is to strengthen our environmental performance, improve occupational safety, and support our long‑term ESG ambitions.
The switch replaces a hazardous chemical with a significantly milder, biodegradable alternative - without compromising operational stability. The new process is fully implemented across all relevant CNC units.
